What is a Regular Boiler?
Regular boilers are sometimes also known as conventional boilers. As the name suggests, regular boilers are usually part of a traditional, family sized, central heating system.
What is a System Boiler?
System boilers are similar in principle to regular boilers, they cater for the same kind of usage and house size. However, a system boiler has many of the heating and hot water components built in which means installation is quicker and neater.
What is a Combi Boiler?
Combination boilers, or combis, as they are commonly known, combine instant hot water heating and central heating in one boiler, hence the name. Combi boilers stand apart from the other boiler types as they use water taken directly from the mains which eliminates the need for a hot water cylinder in the airing cupboard and the cold water tanks in the loft.
Still haven't found a boiler to suit your needs?
Quite often, customers want the performance and space saving option only a combi boiler can deliver but they have a family or a large property which only a regular or system boiler can cope with. In these circumstances an unvented hot water cylinder is recommended.
An unvented hot water system has a pressurised water cylinder which is installed in conjunction with a regular or system boiler. The cylinder takes water directly fed from the mains, which eliminates the need for the cold water tanks in the loft.
Solar Compatibility
Solar thermal water heating will provide hot water from a sustainable and free energy source and prolong the life of your boiler by lowering its workload.
