UK Microgeneration Certification Scheme

As an incentive to homeowners and businesses to improve the energy efficiency of their properties the Government designed a scheme to award grants. The grant scheme is called the Low Carbon Buildings Programme.

The Government designed a second scheme to ensure grant (taxpayer) money is being used effectively by accrediting installers and products alike. The accreditation scheme is called the UK Microgeneration Certification Scheme.

To apply for a grant from the Low Carbon Buildings Programme you must use a UK Microgeneration Certification Scheme accredited installer, installing UK Microgeneration Certification Scheme accredited products.
